A message from President Fred Eckert
It is with great regret that we are forced to cancel the 2009 conference. Due to the obvious economic state, we are all suffering from, we were unable to obtain the funds needed to host a successful conference. We are diligently working on alternatives to ensure that the 2010 conference is not only successful but one filled with exciting speakers.
As you know, we have partnered with SANE which we feel will not only benefit the conference but also benefit the members of the organization. We are undergoing a change in corporation status to ensure our ability to provide exceptionally qualified speakers in the years to come.
Anyone who has already paid for the conference will receive a refund check in the mail shortly. We appreciate your support of the organization and hope to see you in 2010.
Sincerely,
Fred Eckert
About Us
The Florida Sex Crimes Investigators Association was incorporated as a non-profit organization in April 1992, by a small, dedicated group of law enforcement investigators committed to providing low-cost, high-quality training opportunities for its members, and a means of networking and intelligence and information exchange. Today, there are over 300 members. This website contains information of interest to investigators and prosecutors of sex crimes and child abuse, as well as those who provide services for victims of such crimes. It may be used also as a resource for the general public who may have questions related to the subject matter.
On January 1, 2009 the Florida Sex Crimes Investigators Association partnered with the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners. Through the efforts of our President and Sane Coordinator, Suzy Williams, they feel that; Together we can organize and strengthen. Together we can learn new ideas and improve educational opportunities. Together we can work to improve response to victims of sexual violence.
Together just makes sense!!
